Edgar Vladimirenko is a practising architect and researcher, currently studying MSc Urban Planning for Transition at IUAV University of Venice. In his research, E. Vladimirenko is interested in the changes of territories and their elements as physical, political, and social entities in the context of climate change and biodiversity loss.
Moving away from global urbanisation processes, in this year’s Experiments’ Platform, he focuses on the Lithuanian countryside and the change it has undergone in the last decades. E. Vladimirenko aims to explore what (spatial) futures and planning tools are available and what they empower. He is looking for ways to discuss and convey such multi-scalar matters through fiction and visioning.
